Behind the brand
When a young Louis Brandt opened up his small workshop in 1848 in the Swiss village of La Chaux-de-Fonds, little did he know the legend that would ensue. When the proverbial torch was passed to his sons Louis Paul and Cesar in 1879, thanks to Brandt’s passion for precision, his sons were inspired to continue to build a brand that was destined to change the industry forever.
After a move to a new home, the creation of the first series built calibre and a rebrand to the now world-renowned name OMEGA, the brand started its foray into sports and started to build upon its long list of accolades. From breaking records at the Geneva Observatory (something the brand continues to do), being the official timekeeper for the Olympic Games and being the only watch that can withstand NASA’s rigorous testing (and subsequently being the first watch on the moon), this is a brand that’s worthy of its legendary status.
