About this piece

Well, ladies and gents, we've got a bit of a jaw-dropper here – this TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Automatic 18ct Gold Watch. Unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2024, this TUDOR diver's watch is the first-ever to be crafted in 18ct gold and we can't believe our eyes. With plenty of vintage cues from the legendary 7924 references intertwined from the iconic ‘snowflake' hands to the shoulderless crown and uniquely designed case, this timepiece is all about show-stopping good looks. And with gold and green both being key colour trends on the SS24 runways, the dial and bezel in a luscious "golden green" shade are the perfect blend of hues. Complete with a solid gold 3-link bracelet ( another first) fitted with the TUDOR “T-fit” clasp you can easily adjust the length yourself and transition from the boardroom to the open sea in nothing but style.

Editor's Notes

Divers watches with handsome good looks, the TUDOR Black Bay collection brings together sixty years of diving heritage and conjures it into each and every timepiece. Housing TUDOR created movements and ‘snowflake' hands (a nod to the TUDOR watches used by the French National Navy in the 1970s), function and reliability lie at the core of every watch.

Another first for TUDOR's diver timepieces - the debut of the transparent case back which offers a rare glimpse into the intricate workings of the new Manufacture Calibre MT5400, a dual aesthetic narrative not usually seen with these kinds of models. And with a generous 70 hour power reserve and 200m water resistance, it's a winner in our eyes.
