Happily ever aftercare Platinum & gold
care guide

A little TLC

With all Loupe fine jewellery crafted in either platinum or 18ct gold, this guide is the place for those all-important golden rules on how to keep your precious metals precious.
Or, as we like to call it, ‘happily ever aftercare’.

Who says cleaning isn’t glamorous?

Want to keep your jewellery looking just as fabulous as the day you bought it? Then why not brush up on your jewellery beauty skills with your complimentary microfibre cloth.

It will help remove any skin oils and dust that leave a film oil on the surface. And help you keep your jewellery looking dazzling day to day.

Diamond Care Golden Rules

The golden rules of platinum & gold care

Take off your platinum & gold...

  • When showering or soaking - particularly with chlorine as this can really damage it.
  • When applying perfume, hair products or hand sanitiser. Or just put your platinum or gold jewellery on last.
  • When sleeping, cooking, or cleaning – and if any chemicals come into contact, just rinse them off.

We’ll make it glamorous…

Aftercare isn’t just an afterthought at Loupe. You are always welcome to bring your jewellery in to us for a little TLC.

Drop in for a complimentary deep clean, polish and inspection any time at one of our Loupe boutiques – we recommend a monthly ‘glow up’ to keep your piece looking beautiful. Plus it’s the perfect excuse for a glass of fizz or relaxing coffee.

For white gold jewellery, we also offer a rhodium plating service. White gold is finished with a rhodium plating to give a lustrous, bright white finish and it can break down over time. This means your 18ct white gold jewellery may need replating. Bring it into a Loupe boutique and we’ll be happy to help.
